SPRAYPAINTING – a novel by Steve Harmison

As a man with a lot of spare time on his hands in the past year, Harmy has been busy writing his debut novel. Basically a rip off of ‘Trainspotting’, the story focuses on ‘Steveo’ and his mates ‘Hoggy’, ‘Freddie’ and ‘Jonesy’ as they partake in intravenous darts sessions and become so heavily addicted they cannot function properly within cricketing society anymore. This ultimately costs all of them their places in the national cricket team as the hero of the story finds himself unable to hit a barn door from 22 yards.

“plagiarising and scandalous” – Irvine Welsh

“mate, it’s a ripper” – Andrew Flintoff
